Editorial Policy

SARTE International is committed to publishing accurate, fair and useful journalism. This Editorial Policy explains the standards our newsroom follows and how we handle corrections.

Our Content Standards

  • Accuracy. Every factual claim is checked against an identifiable source before publication. Figures, dates, names and designations are verified independently wherever possible.
  • Fairness. Where a story reports on wrongdoing or criticism, the subject is given a reasonable opportunity to respond, and their response is reflected in the published article.
  • Clarity. We write in plain language. Complex official notices are summarised so readers understand what applies to them and what to do next.
  • Attribution. Sources of information are clearly identified. Anonymous sourcing is used only when a source faces genuine risk and the information is independently corroborated.
  • Separation of news and advertising. Sponsored or paid content is clearly labelled. Advertisers never review, approve or influence editorial copy.
  • Respect for privacy. We avoid publishing private information unless there is a clear public-interest justification. Coverage of minors is handled with particular care.
  • No plagiarism. We do not copy the work of other journalists. Where we reference another outlet’s reporting, we credit and link to it.

Fact-Checking Process

Before publication, every story passes through the following steps:

  1. Source verification. The reporter identifies primary sources — official notifications, gazette publications, government portals, court orders, company filings, or first-hand accounts — and documents them for the editor.
  2. Independent confirmation. Any claim that is sensitive, contested or potentially damaging is confirmed through at least a second, independent source.
  3. Document review. Numbers, dates, eligibility criteria, pay scales and deadlines are re-read against the original document, not from memory or a summary.
  4. Editorial review. An editor reviews the piece for accuracy, fairness, legal risk, headline accuracy and clarity before it goes live.
  5. Post-publication checks. Where a developing story changes, the article is updated with a visible note describing what changed and when.

Use of Official and Public Sources

For government schemes and job coverage, we rely on official announcements, department websites, press information releases and public notices. We link to the official portal wherever one exists so readers can verify the information themselves. We do not publish scheme or job information that cannot be traced to an official source.

Correction Policy

We take mistakes seriously and correct them promptly.

  • Minor errors (typos, spelling, formatting) are corrected silently.
  • Factual errors are corrected in the article itself, with a correction note appended stating what was wrong and when it was corrected.
  • Significant errors — where the substance of a story is affected — are corrected with a clearly visible editor’s note at the top of the article and, where appropriate, a follow-up story.
  • Retractions are issued where a story cannot be supported. Retracted articles remain accessible with a retraction notice; we do not quietly delete published journalism.

To request a correction, email editor@sarte-intl.com with the article URL, the specific passage concerned, and any supporting documents. We aim to respond within 24–48 hours.

Source Verification and Transparency

We prefer named, on-the-record sources. Where anonymity is unavoidable, the editor is told the source’s identity and why anonymity is necessary. Anonymous sources are never the sole basis for a story that makes serious allegations.

We do not pay sources for information. We do not accept gifts, free travel or hospitality that could compromise editorial independence, and any potential conflict of interest involving a writer is disclosed to readers in the article itself.

Reader Comments and Moderation

Comments are moderated to keep discussion civil and on-topic. We remove content that is abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, spam, or that spreads demonstrable misinformation. Moderation decisions do not affect the editorial content of an article.

AI and Automated Tools

Automated tools may be used for translation, transcription or research assistance, but no article is published without review by a human editor. Responsible editorial decisions are always made by people.
